Martin Behr and the Moen Holy Choir

This the great Moen endorser Martin Behr again with the Moen Holy Choir Chorus.

You will hear Martin create a passage with one part clean and the last part with the Holy Choir added in. (You will also get a little smile from Martin when the shimmer starts) :)

The Holy Choir is a very warm and extremely musical Analog Chorus.
Check one out for yourself!

Featured Effect: The Moen Shaky Jimi Vibe

Moen Shaky Jimi Vibe/Chorus

This weeks Spotlight is on the Moen Shaky Jimi Vibe/Chorus. This is really a standout in the excellent Moen line of effects.
The Jimi offers up some great vibe tones at a very nice price!

This unit has been getting very good reviews from players and is featured on many new pedalboards since it's introduction. With reliable tracking for both rate and depth, you can really conjure up those liquid like tones with a slow dreamy vibe or increase the rate to find other great tonal territories.
To add even more tonal possibilities, the Jimi is a Vibe + Chorus and incorporates a toggle for fast switching between Vibe and Chorus modes. The Chorus feature pulls some very nice Leslie type tones and simply adds more tonal options to your arsenal.
And like all Moen effects, the Jimi is housed in a full metal casing, features a reliable metal stompswitch and True Bypass.
Check out the reviews and read the comments on this great Vibe from Moen!

Plug in the Jimi and start your own Band of Gypsys!

Martin Behr and Moen Update

Moen is very proud to announce the endorsement of a most excellent player:

Endorser - Rock Guitarist Martin Behr From Germany:

We had mentioned him in an earlier post and you should see a link to his home site there as well. Truly a that gifted guitar player and now a Moen endorser as well! There will be more pics of his pedalboard to come that will incorporate the Moen Violent Metal and maybe some others.

Here is a little info on the official announcement and Martin's Bio:

Martin has released 2 instrumental CDs as a solo artist and is currently recording his third solo CD. He gigs with the Iron Maiden-Tribute-Band "KILLERZ" and the Rock-Band "Sunny Skies". Besides teaching, his schedule also includes playing live and studio sessions.
In 1992 he joined the Rock-Band BABY'S IN BLACK, who released the CD "Between" in 1995. After the breakup of REVERSE, he started working on his first solo-CD "Keeping the balance" which was released in 1994. His versatile profile and interest in different musicial styles got him some gigs with iranian singer/composer Siavash Ghomeyshi and he composed and recorded two soundtracks for the computer-games "MAX!" and "Mobility"; he even played dark wave with Danger de mort on two CDs and live.
In 1999 he realesed his second instrumental album "Law of the jungle" again featuring his favourite musicians Rolf Sander on bass and Alex Bisch (Martingan) on drums. Martin has played the german Jemfest three times, sharing the bill with shredding buddies Ricky Garcia (LaFee), Marcel Coenen (Sun Caged) and Eric Vandenberg (writer for "Guitar"-Mag). In 2002 he played guitar on the pop-rock album "Catwalk Autobahn" by Oliver Burg.
November 2008, Martin became MOEN Endorser.

Welcome Martin and thanks for choosing Moen !!

The Moen "Uni-Comp" Bias Control Compressor

This weeks featured effect is Moen's Uni-Comp Compressor. This is a welcome addition to any one's effect arsenal. The Uni-Comp has been getting great player reviews from both guitar and bass player alike. It is really one of the best compressors out there and certainly in the price range of it's competitors. Single lines runs become clear and present and make those power chords sting as well. Some compressors simply "squeeze" the sound (and the volume). Not so with the Uni-Comp as it compresses with clarity and almost "zero" background noise. The Bias Knob features LED "clipping" and you can dial in the Bias that best suits you an your instrument. A must have for all most all styles of music... and effective for both Guitar and Bass.
**Note the Uni-Comp has been getting good reviews for bass applications and has been commented on through various bass talk forums. Definitely worth a look for all you bass players out there as well**
Check out the Moen UNI-COMP !!

Smokin' guitarist Martin Behr and the Moen Violent Metal

Just wanted to update here on another Moen YouTube video that comes via an exceptional German guitarist named Martin Behr. You will see he is using the Moen Violent Metal (generation 1) only to pull an excellent tone for this sound sample! The tone of the Moen Violent Metal is very strong and you can tell he is very much pleased with the sound.

A very strong statement from such an excellent guitarist! Moen will rock you......

Here is also Martin's website link if you want to more about him. Again, a true master of rock guitar. http://www.martinbehr.de/

Looking for Moen Music Makers !!

For those of you that have tuned in to Moen effects and stomp one or two for current inspiration, we want to hear from you! Moen is still an upcoming company so we are looking for upcoming players at all stages as well. If you have a band (even a bedroom rocker) and wish to share a pic or a comment, please let us know. We have T-shirts and possible product give aways for players that are site selected.

For the more seasoned players that have built a rep from slugging away out there on the road, let us know as well as we are also looking for you. We might possibly help keep you "toned up" on Moen effects and more band exposure as a Moen endorser on our sister sites.

We want the music to flow doncha' know, so Moen users... come on in !!

Check out the Harmony Central user reviews for Moen Effects

Most of you have visited Harmony Central for sure, but there be some who have not. This is great website for actual player reviews and comments for most all guitar effects. Of course you should always take the comments for what they are, but some posts have gone into great detail on why they like a certain effect (and in some cases, whey they do not) but it is a great way to get a "feel" for a product before you jump into a purchase. I linked here the current existing page for Moen. Feel free to look... and by all means post a comment. It helps the whole guitar community !!

Moen on Youtube... 2008 Shanghai Music Show/others

Moen grabbed some quick videos at their trade show Booth this month and some players just jammin' out on Moen effects ...take a look on YouTube!

Fuzz Moo

Just had a comment from a studio who had recently used the Fuzz Moo for one of their clients. As a test, they placed the Moo along side a Big Muff and another insanely expensive boutique Fuzz for sonic comparison. After running all three blindly and this musician having his pick of the best tone he heard from the three, he picked the Moo! Stating both power and warmth. The studio was pleasantly surprised and confirmed what they were hearing as well. Great tone and a great value... indeed a Big Muff eater !!

New products from Moen coming soon.

Please keep your eye out here for some new effects and related accessories from Moen. Moen has just returned from the 2008 China Music Show which has grown to be a very worldy event on most calendars. Musical companies from all over the world(even the U.S.) have made this show a must attend.
Along with all these good vibes(and good competition)there are many new exciting things coming and Moen continues to excel as a small but growing effects manufacture.
More pics and specs on the way.
