Martin Behr Melody Part II and Moen Effects
As promised, here is part 2 of with Martin Behr jammin' live with his new pedalboard configuration featuring the new Moen GEC 434 Looper along with the Moen Overdrive, Holy Choir Chorus and the Uni-Comp Compressor. Martin takes you through a lot of tonal territory here with softer interludes leading into full blown rock passages to show off the versatility of both the new board and his incredible technique. Martin Behr and new Moen GEC434 Guitar Commander
Pedalboard #4 (Large Gator)Since November 2008, I proudly endorse MOEN effects pedals. This board is mainly used for the SUNNY SKIES and sessions as it delivers a lot of great and very authentic vintage sounds. (If I need to get rude, I can turn on the Violent Metal at any time.) This versatile board features the MOEN Holy Choir, Overdrive, Uni Comp and Violent Metal, Catalinbread Silver Kiss MKII, Boss Digital Reverb, Ibanez Digital Modulation Delay, Dunlop Cry Baby Wah, Seymour Duncan Twin Tube Classic modded by Tonehunter (Ralf Reichen), Ibanez Tuner and the brand new programmable MOEN GEC434 which does the main switching with 4 loops, Tuner Mute and Solo Boost. This board loves Strats and I love this board. Soon I'll put up an in depth demonstration of how the GEC434 works and how I have set it up to control the whole rig. This is new GEC434 Guitar Commander from Moen. This is a very versatile unit capable of many different set up configurations and you will be seeing more on this great switching unit shortly and should be available now as of this writing. But for starters I have included a part one here of the great Martin Behr working with the Commander in a live situation. A promised part 2 is coming along shortly with a full blown vid of the details and specs of the Commander.

MOEN "ULITE" EFFECT SERIES HAVE ARRIVED
The new Moen Ulite series is now out to market and these first three entries introduced in this series are the new Vibe, Compressor, and the mean and nasty Octave Fuzz.
Moen had been asked if they could produce effects that would easily fit pedalboards where space can be limited, as the Moen original casings are larger and do take up more space on pedalboard configurations.
Moen has now responded with their excellent new Ulite series of effects which features full Analog tone in a much smaller casing that caters directly to pedalboard users. The Moen FUZZ MOO and Bassist Bret Calder
The Moen Fuzz Moo has been finding it's way onto more pedal boards and stages as the word spreads out about the MOO's powerful tone and value.
This time in the very capable hands of Mr. Bret Calder, an incredible bassist from the New York area. Bret has been involved in many notable projects in his career and has now found home in the band I,Parasite, where he has spent the last 5 years honing his sound.
This year, the band will release it's 3rd album, " The Sick Are Not Healing"
I, Parasite's sound is great mixture of atmospheric waves and raw power where Bret (and the Fuzz Moo) really come through.
A bit of the band's history:
For over ten years I, Parasite has been making aggressive, atmospheric, and experimental electronic/rock sounds. Starting out as a duo in 1997, co-founders Justin Butts and Christopher Jon released Turin and Horseslayer on a small indie label. After parting ways in 2001, Chris went on to release On This Cold Floor on his own DARKVISIONMEDIA label in mid 2003. The album received critical acclaim from all over the world and led to Chris working with Grammy nominated producer and Anthrax guitarist Rob Caggiano on Cradle Of Filth's Thornography.
Now I, Parasite is preparing to release their third full length album, The Sick Are Not Healing (which includes an appearance from Caggiano on the song "The Stone Doctor"). For this Christopher has assembled a new band: longtime live bassist Bret Calder, Nino (guitar), Brandon (acoustic and electronic drums), and Michael Renfield (keyboards). Expect more from I, Parasite – the band – in 2009.
